This photo is from 1985. I'm guessing it was taken in the lot of the place that manufactured these statues as these appear to be new statues ready for shipment to stores. However, in the northern peninsula of Michigan there is a "Big Boy Graveyard." It is a field on private property full of broken and decaying Big Boy icons.

Never had a Big Boy around here (living in Canada)but it still seems a shame to see an icon of American culture "put to pasture" like that.
