Funny sentence in this TV Guide article (Doomsday's going to be on Smallville). And not really true as far as I'm concerned. One of the Kingdom Come spinoff comics featured Gog (?) killing Superman over and over. Also, evil Elijah Snow killed Superman in Planetary/JLA Terra Occulta. I think my project this weekend will be assembling images of people killing Superman. Let me know if you can think of other stories where Superman has dies.

That statement is still technically true if we're speaking of post-Crisis, Earth Prime continuity. It's technically UNTRUE within that context by their own reckoning: Superman didn't "die," just went into some coma or fugue state until he could heal inside a Kryptonian battle suit.
