Dude, you are clearly ignorant of diplomacy. He is a head of state, Vatican City. The pope does not ask for this stuff, and I would hardly call the pope "opulent." Most of these things are gifts of gratitude (yes, even the first class private flight) and the entourage is mainly for his protection. If you were a popular leader of millions of people, don't you think you would get mobbed (by either fans or enemies) in the same situation?

You mean you don't think his lifestyle contributes far more to the pollution of the world than the average person, or you think it's ok because he's more famous than the average person?
