  1. IT's not a cop-out because 2 of my uncles do it every year. Scratch Tickets. Grab 1 or 2 of the big $10 ones or go with 3-4 of the $5 ones. People have fun, and someone usually wins a couple hundred dollars. One year my Aunt one $1,000 as a direct result of my being a wise-ass. I did not want the one on the end, I wanted the one in the middle. MY uncle got annoyed with me but did as I requested and my aunt got the one on the end. Every year at Christmas I get to relieve that incident. They are small enough to fit inside a regular greeting card envelope. And they cause some interesting havoc at Yankee Gift Swaps (white elephant parties, some people call them).
