And a few more links:
1. Maria Bartiromo recently interviewed former Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain, who, not surprisingly came off as a fool when asked to explain why he spent over $1 million renovating his office. Handy summary of the interview here.
2. Upcoming Wii game Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings will include the classic Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. I played through it with my little brother and have very fond memories. I think that game taught me what a "fez" was.
3. To everyone out there who's been laid off, I feel your pain. My wife and I might both be "furloughed" in the near future.
4. The Dark Knight meets Grand Theft Auto in this t-shirt by James Lillis.

Sweeeeet. I'm always a sucker for a good parody tee shirt... :)
ReplyDeleteDork. :-)
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. I am thankful my year of unemployment went from sept '07 - oct '08. My wife's company just instituted a hiring freeze. Keep the faith guys.
ReplyDeleteI think Fate of Atlantis taught me and my brother what a fez was too! Man I loved that game. It was just so big, especially when you palyed all 3 paths. I loved that there was one big nazi that you couldn't sucker-punch in the game, that was a really good "oh crap!" moment.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you and your wife on the job front John.
Thanks for the kind words guys.
