Horse dressed as Thor equals Thorse.
And a few more links:
1. Sean "Cheeks" Galloway is inviting artists to design a card to be packaged with his new vinyl toy.
2. Wired keeps winning awards, but can't sell ads. I suspect their only chance to survive is to give up the ad-based model, raise the price, and put out a high-quality item - - something like the JJ Abrams issue you'd want to save.
3. Fire breaks out at Fire Service College in Gloucestershire, destroys at least eleven fire engines. Via.
4. Charmingly-ridiculous Medic robot.

Yes, one of my favorite comic book characters.
ReplyDeleteWired: So they guy rights a book about Free, publishes a magazine and does not realize that ESPN has been successfully giving away it's magazine for years when you pay for the Insider part of their website.
ReplyDeleteAnother example of the smart guy being too dumb to see the obvious. Of course the publishing company is also pretty dumb as well. Only the smart print media will survive. There is room for it, but the glory days are gone.
I suspect the barrier is convincing Conde Naste to give away the magazine. But we'll see how fast his new book is made available for free.
