UPDATE: The winner is AmyR, who should have received an email from me.
UPDATE 2: Since AmyR never responded, despite repeated emails and mentions on Super Punch, the new winner is "marshman."
I'm a big fan of Daniel Davis' endeavors, including webcomic Monster Commute. I mean just look at these charming monsters:
He's going to be at San Diego Comic Con with great items to sell including an exclusive print featuring the stars of Monster Commute ($20):
Bottles of industrial strength goblin poison (poison sold separately):
Monstrous messenger bags and purses:
And other prints including Steampunk Oz, Nosferatu, Explore Monstru, and Traffic:
You'll be able to find Daniel and those wonderful items (and so much more) at booth 4207:
And for those of us not going to San Diego, some of these items are actually already on sale in the Monster Commute webstore (Nosferatu and Steampunk Oz are both $20).
Now then, I promised a giveaway and here it is:
The giveaway includes:
- First edition copies of our 3 books: Caught Creatures, KlawBerry, After Halloween. Signed by author/illustrator Daniel m. Davis.
- Limited edition "Skulled" corporate sketchbook (with original skull sketch)
- A KlawBerry designer plushie
- And a few more goodies tossed in. (stickers and buttons)
Wow. Initially, my apologies, this giveaway is limited to US residents. Now onto the rules. To enter, simply comment to this post with a link to your favorite Monster Commute strip or item in Daniel's webshop. One comment per person, and make sure your comment includes your email so that I can contact the winner. All entries must be posted by Friday July 17 at 8:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
(And finally, don't forget, there's still plenty of time to enter the Villains of Scooby Doo contest, where the grand prize is a $100 Threadless store credit.)

I love Daniel's style, and it's kind of hard to choose a favorite. However, the film geek in me loves the Nosferatu print, so I'm going with that.

Dan has an uncanny knack for knowing what I think is cool and having it up for sale on his website before I've even thought of it. This guy deserves a gallery.

The clawberry Book I baught for my daughter.
ReplyDeleteI do love my clown bite t-shirt as well. Luxuriously soft and beautifully illustrated.
I love the whole thing, needs more taxis though. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd my current favorite piece is the Crowbot blueprint: http://www.monstercommute.com/crowbot-blueprint-comic/
Yay for Steam Crow!
ReplyDeleteI love the new NOSFERATU print. My wife and I stumbled across the Slovakian castle where they filmed the classic movie. It's called Orava Hrad and it's on the drive between Budapest, Hungary and Krakow, Poland. Very spooky and very cool.
Have fun at ComiCon in San Diego. We got shut out on membership passes (who knew it'd sell out almost 3 months in advance!). So have a blast! Catch ya on the interwebs.
Vintage goodness achieved. I like this man's work. I like his newspaper for it looks ancient and would look well as a framed piece above a fireplace. I want his Goblin poison more though as it would looks badass upon my spice rack of evil, which already has grim reaper hot sauce and coffin hot sauces, plus a wicked background from Jo Vaquez creatr of invader zim.
ReplyDeleteI would put my prizes on my spice rack o' evil and let it grow in dark power.
