Dictionary.com shows how to tastefully sell ad space

Dictionary.com is now a huge ad wrapped around a text input box. I actually think it works well. The ad is attractive, yet doesn't interfere with my locating the interface bar.

I found this via TechCrunch, which criticized the design. Which was ironic, because as displayed in Google Reader, the text of the post took up the same amount of the post as the two ugly ads in the footer.
