1. Jill Myles has a funny Twitter handle:
I write under three pseudonyms for Pocket Books, Berkley Heat, and self-publishing. I guess I need a hobby.2. "Def Leppard to release album of rock lullabies for babies." You can preorder Dreamin' With Def Leppard at Amazon. Via.
3. I think I might have posted this before, but it's hilarious so . . . clueless secretary asks talented (and busy) graphic designer to create a lost cat poster for her.
I've always been partial to the Rockabye Baby albums of famous rock groups: Via Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dpopular&field-keywords=rockabye+baby&x=0&y=0
ReplyDeleteThey're great to listen to while working, no lyrics, just simplified music.
The cat poster thread is funny but I came away feeling that the designer could have been less of a dick about things.
ReplyDeleteThe cat poster email series is probably the best thing I have read today. I don't feel he was being too dickish as he had other work due that day, unlike the unwitted secretary.
ReplyDeleteThe graphic designer is definitely an ass. The secretary specifically asks if he can do it if he's "not too busy." All he had to say was, "Sorry, I have some projects due today." Instead he spends the next 3 and half hours not working on those paid projects and just being a dick to her.
ReplyDeleteYou might love Don't Even Reply (google that and it'll be the first thing that comes up)... although with these email strings, I am skeptical that these people are just making up the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteThat's David Thorne for ya.
ReplyDeleteMore of his asshole antics can be found here: http://www.27bslash6.com/
Secretary needs to be doing her job instead of making cat posters and wasting company resources (designer) on b/s projects.
ReplyDeletethat Def leppard stuff sounds pretty interesting..
ReplyDeleteI don't get it. What's so funny about her Twitter handle?
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting the lost cat emails. Never read it before and it is, indeed, hilarious.
