You might have heard mention what a frightening game Amnesia: The Dark Descent is. Well, this segment from about an hour into the game (from a full playthrough) gives a good taste. All you need to know is that you're alone in a haunted castle with no means of self defense.

I watched a different, but hilarious, playthrough featuring three guys playing it at the same time, with the main commentator being terrified throughout - it's brilliant, and worth a watch, especially for the one really, really relaxed mate of his being all calm all the time :)

ReplyDeleteOh I would like to play this game. Reminds me of my first computer of which was a compaq computer in the early nighties. My first game was an erie Edgar Allen Poe first person. I was both spooked and delighted. 3 year lurker here and first comment.
