Gorgeous!!!!!! Very well thought of!!!! (I especially like the alice in wonderland print!)
ReplyDeleteI like how the Robin Hood one was taken from the cover of a Modest Mouse album.
ReplyDeleteI think my fave is the princess and the pea.
ReplyDeleteThese are really clever and cool!
ReplyDeleteAs stated before me, that Robin Hood one is most disturbing. I know Picasso praised copying/stealing, but come on now...this is down right copying with a hue shift. Tisk tisk.
ReplyDeleteWhy does the swan from the Ugly Duckling look like a duck?
ReplyDeleteGood point. Too similar IMO:

Boy, you are right. Nearly identical except for fewer arrows.
ReplyDeleteI love how anonymous people have something to say about everything, particularly when it is negative. (And how obviously no one before Modest Mouse ever used an image of arrows into a flat surface with bleeding.)
ReplyDeleteFound my way here from Twitter (Felicia Day linked). Really enjoying your blog. Thanks for sharing these! They look fantastic.
Avaryse, I literally couldn't have said that better myself, you're awesome. I definitely agree.
ReplyDeleteI really liked these posters but I will say (not anonymously) that Robin Hood poster is too similar to the Modest Mouse poster to be called anything but a copy. Spotting a copy usually makes me wonder whether the others are copies too -- which is a letdown because, as I mentioned, I really liked them.
