Back in 2003, Peter Milligan wanted to bring Princess Diana back from the dead and make her a member of mutant super hero team X-Statix. The storyline was going to be called "Di Another Day." There was too much protest, so Diana was replaced:

ReplyDeleteIt pretty much killed the comic.
ReplyDeleteSTupid shark-summersaulting move. Loved X-Statix far more than any royalty but still felt this was bad taste too far.
I actually never enjoyed it very much after the space mission.
ReplyDeleteI read it to the bitter end. The X-Statix vs Avengers arc sounded better on paper than it was in execution.
