The Kickstarter-funded Double Fine adventure game will be available for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and some versions of Android. The beta will be on Steam for backers, and the game itself will be DRM-free.
(I wonder if at some point this project has gotten too much support - - like they wanted to just make a small charming adventure game for enthusiasts, but now the pressure's really on to create a grade A title.)

If people didn't think Double Fine wasn't always trying to make a grade A title then I think they wouldn't have this much support.
ReplyDeleteI would say yes-this much support from fans is scary in that there's no corporate intermediary. The fans gave them the money so its the fans they have to answer to.
On the other hand I think Double Fine and Tim have the type of fans who aren't as...ahem...unkind or unruly as most other gamers.
