Continuing their run of producing pleasant-looking mobile devices no one will buy, Microsoft's new "Surface" tablet comes with a cool cover/keyboard. It's going to be so expensive that they didn't even mention the price.
"Continuing their run of producing pleasant-looking mobile devices no one will buy,"LOL, that's a great line. I'm going to store it for future use.
Microsoft has it backwards. They apparently can't compete on price, and it's unlikely the hardware will be dramatically better than Apple's. They need to unveil multiple exclusive killer apps that are more exciting than iTunes. Not a thin keyboard.
I thought the Intel version is going to be able to run anything you can run on a regular windows machine: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, fancy games (Solitaire!) etc etcAlthough I agree with the general consensus that it isn't going to fly off the shelves
Yes--I believe Microsoft's "strategy" is looking more towards corporate and small business clients with their tablets (as laptop replacements). This seems like shooting themselves in the foot (or Dell's foot, at any rate).
