Just because it came up over at BoingBoing, who cover your material a lot. Rockwell's "Rosie" is a copy/homoage to Michelangelo's Isaiah, from the Sistine Chapel.
It's kind of fun that Rockwell made Isaiah into a woman, since many of Michelangelo's Sistine women are obviously men.
