Amazon deals

Deals that I'm considering for myself and family and friends:

Batman: Year One [Blu-ray] for $8.

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 for $22 (PS3/Xbox 360).

The Adventures of Tintin for $8.50.

Fantastic Mr. Fox for $5.

Homeland: The Complete First Season for $20.

Not Just the Best of the Larry Sanders Show for $7.

Snow White and the Huntsman (Extended Edition) for $10.

Toshiba 32C120U 32-Inch 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV (Black) for $250.

I'm also considering the Flame Red 3DS with Mario 3D Land installed if Amazon gets it at the listed $170.

  1. Batman: Year One is decent, definitely worth it for that price on Blu-Ray.
I assume you know already that this one is not for the young 'uns, particularly the extra short featuring Catwoman infiltrating a strip club. It doesn't quite live up to the grit and darkness of the comic, but the tone over-all stays mature and moody.
I'm from the "Kevin Conroy is the only actor who should ever voice animated Batman" school, but I thought Ben McKenzie handled the role well, particularly as Bruce Wayne.
And damn does it look good on Blu-Ray.

  2. Yeah, if DC made their movies PG, I'd have already bought them for my boys

  3. The Flame Red 3DS with Mario 3D Land is $149.99 on Best Buy:
