Are you in the mood for a fast-paced hard-boiled thriller filled with sex, violence, and the supernatural? This is the comic for you. In the second story arc of Ed Brubaker's and Sean Phillips's Fatale, a Manson-like cult called The Method Church terrorizes Hollywood. But the demon-worshipers find that the temptress star of the series is more than a match.
The plotting, dialog, and art are all excellent. The comics could easily serve as the basis for a movie or tv series, and indeed, I read the entire series in one sitting like I was watching a movie.
The five-issue arc is $8 at Amazon. And you can read the first issue in the series for free at Comixology.

Ed Brubaker is usually one of my go-to writers, and this looks great! Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteI liked it a lot more than Incognito Bad Influences, the last one I read by those two.
