I'm only bothering to mention this as a public service since I made the mistake of renting it. In Mystery Team, three moronic high school seniors incompetently try to solve a crime. Kind of like Ace Ventura, if it had been rated R and not even briefly funny.

Mystery Team is unwatchable, repulsive

I thought it was hilarious movie, very meta, since its like the hardy boys grew up but never became anything of themselves and are man-children.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely wasn't good in any way, but I don't know that I'd call it repulsive.
ReplyDeleteThe stripclub.
DeleteHmm. It's been a couple of years since I saw it, and I don't remember much about it, especially a strip club scene. Maybe I erased most of the movie from my memory?
DeleteOops, your opinion is wrong. Mystery Team, as with most everything else Derrick Comedy makes, is amazing. These movie reviews are full of grumpy and therefore not useful to anyone else.
ReplyDeleteLoved this movie
ReplyDeleteI want to like everything Donald Glover does, it just doesn't always work out that way.
ReplyDeleteOh, I completly disagee. I loved seeing it at a premiere at the Nuarte with cast in crew in person. The whole idea behind the comedy group behind it is to have as much fun as possible. Donald Glover gave a great speech on how the money spent from earnings on the film would be spent on James Gandolfini in a bathtub playing with a sandwhich singing his own name. It's just a stupid fun film. BTW, the toilet scene poop was brownie mix. People use that often for fake poo in films.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure "I didn't like this movie" can qualify as a review.
ReplyDeleteI love Mystery Team and Derrick Comedy.
