Star Wars: Defender of the Lost Temple is a lot more fun than the cartoon

It's Star Wars meets Indiana Jones as two female jedi and a squad of candy-colored clones navigate a booby trap-filled temple, only to face the Mandalorian Death Watch.

While the terribly misguided Clone Wars cartoon is dark and slow and crippled by the weird mannequin like movements of the characters, this 80-page story is a delight.  Defender of the Lost Temple is all vibrant colors, fast-paced adventure, and stylish movement.  Like the Clone Wars Adventures series, it's aimed at young readers, but also like those comics, it's fun for Star Wars fans of all ages.

Preorder for $8 for 80 pages at Amazon.

  1. I didn't know this was coming out--thanks for the tip : )

I actually really enjoy the TV series about 50% of the time. It's got heavy-handed plotting sometimes and the dialogue writing can be awful, but there are also times when it really clicks. It is admittedly darker than I expected now--I'm not really sure why they went that direction. The first season was easily the best.

    1. Yeah, I liked some of the episodes from the first season - - Echo, the Y-Wing bombing missions.

  2. 5 seasons of amazing fan service is hardly a bad show. It's been a phenomenal hit for the network. You may not care for it personally, but it been the best part of Star Wars in the past decade as far as the rest of us are concerned.

    1. I'd say Karen Traviss's novels, and Blur's videos for The Old Republic and Force Unleashed were the best of Star Wars in the last 10 years.
