I loved Carnivale. The first season, anyway. It was where Ronald D. Moore landed after Star Trek and a rebound relationship with Roswell. It was doing well, but then Galactica hit big and he left for that.
Not only that, they signed with HBO for 5 seasons, and by half way through the second season they'd blown the entire budget for the show. Still, I'd have loved to have seen some comic company pick up the rights and continue the story.
