Link roundup

1.  I haven't heard Fark mentioned in years, but apparently it still gets lots of traffic:

Recently, Fark users began seeing some links marked “Featured Partner” on the heavily-trafficked homepage. The “Featured Partner” in question is Buzzfeed, which is using the partnership to generate more audience for its “sponsored” articles, its form of native advertising.
2.  And speaking of Buzzfeed, here's a good article:
A range of mainstream American publications printed paid propaganda for the government of Malaysia, much of it focused on the campaign against a pro-democracy figure there.
3.  Techdirt on Judge Alex Kozinski's (the chief judge of the court of appeals for the 9th circuit) recent speech about using TOR to explore Silk Road and other parts of the "hidden web":
Of course, this is the point that we realize that Kozinski's claims of just having done this recently are probably a fabrication
