"Children’s music sensation Gracie’s Corner has evolved ... into a Gen Alpha juggernaut, with nearly 6 million subscribers and two NAACP Image Awards"

From the consistently excellent After School newsletter:

The songs remix nursery classics with traditional Black music genres, like reggae and Afrobeat, and manage to be refreshingly free of “cringe,” unlike most kids’ music. The channel’s star, 13-year-old Graceyn Hollingsworth, now headlines sold-out live shows where preschoolers lose their minds; when rapper Paul Wall made a cameo at a recent Houston show to perform “Wheels on the Bus,” a “pint-size pandemonium” ensued.

India refused to accept the Asia Cup trophy from the Asian Cricket Council president, who is also the interior minister of Pakistan

@thetelegraph 🇮🇳 India won the Asia Cup on Sunday amid bizarre scenes in which they hoisted an imaginary trophy after refusing to accept it from Pakistan’s interior minister Mohsin Naqvi. India beat Pakistan by five wickets in the final at Dubai International Stadium with emotions running high between the sides following a brief military conflict between the nuclear-armed neighbours in May. The teams met three times at the tournament, with Indian players refusing to shake hands with their opponents throughout, and Sunday’s final ended in surreal circumstances with India celebrating their win by pretending to lift the cup. ESPN:
India's stance to not accept a trophy from Naqvi was expected. They had refused to shake hands with the Pakistan team members in any of the three games they played this tournament
...
"We have decided not to take the Asia Cup trophy from the ACC chairman, who happens to be one of the main [political] leaders of Pakistan," BCCI secretary ... told ANI. "So we decided not to take it from him. But that does not mean that the gentleman will take away the trophy with him along with the medals. So it is very unfortunate and we hope that the trophy and the medals will be returned to India as soon as possible.
