Amazon has itWe were saddened to hear about the death of legendary artist and friend to Hard Case Crime Drew Struzan at 78. Drew illustrated A BLOODY BUSINESS, his wife Dylan’s historical novel, for us—not just the cover but copious interiors. He was a gentleman and a genius. He is missed. pic.twitter.com/c8CLJwlPFg

Look at the wraparound artwork Struzan did for the Indiana Jones books in the early 90s, complete with hand-drawn titles and author blocks! 16 year old me would stand in a mall B. Dalton and could feel the thunder & hear the music with one of these books in my fat little white suburban hands.

Apparently trueMy favorite Struzan story is that he was doing the poster for Indy at Disneyland, but they didn't have the rights to Ford's likeness. Fed up with working around the problem, Struzan just called Ford and was like, "hey, can I use your face for this," and Ford said, "if it's for you, absolutely."
