I can't stop thinking about this. You and I have "Miranda rights" that require cops to notify us of our right against self-incrimination. Will the Supreme Court someday use this case to establish "Miranda 2" rights against unexplained and violent abductions by masked secret police?

Signs of the times in Chicago today: My daughter's school went on soft lockdown because of reports of ICE. Volunteers showed up at the nearby H.S. to escort people who didn't feel safe. Walking around, I saw lots of orange whistles around people's necks.

Of all the clerics they could have popped, those ICE idiots had to hit Hot Priest.

I’m not kidding when I say these weird ass costumes and antics are actually an extremely effective tactic from a media standpoint bc when enough people do them, the media can’t fully scrub them out

During a government shutdown, the Trump administration is bailing out Argentina, whose president is fond of saying, “The state isn’t the solution, it’s the problem.”

Which does reinforce why people like Bari Weiss are able to seize so much power. The Ezra Klein types think that people like Kirk are just part of the game they are playing, while Kirk and Bari were seeking actual power.

Thiessen having a good chuckle about his fired liberal colleagues - some of whom he worked with for 15 years - is a good reminder that token conservatives at mainstream news outlets are/were there to destroy them, not to contribute to them.

⚠️ Do you hodl a lot of crypto? Targeting high net worth crypto holders has helped North Korean hackers steal more than $2bn so far this year according to researchers. Elliptic told me the highest theft of cryptocurrency from an individual this year is $100m. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

("The BBC did not report on the breach until the hackers began posting images and profiles of some of the children on their darknet site on 25 September...The stolen data included names, addresses and pictures of children along with contact details for parents and carers. The hackers called parents directly about their hack to pressure Kido into paying the ransom")

But then, that trucking company outsourced the job to two other trucking companies, who then hired drivers. The problem is those second trucking companies were fake — with phony letterheads, email addresses and phone numbers to appear legitimate.")

TIL Kitty Pryde's reaction to mohawk Storm was taken from real life. X-Men Editor Louise Simonson & husband Walt had sent their daughter to summer camp, and while she was away, Walt shaved off his beard and Louise had her hair permed. When she got home and saw them, their daughter burst into tears.
