This was the story I noted yesterday, and that Ars and the authors had seemingly retracted the article without posting any sort of acknowledgment on the website or their personal social media accounts.
From today's retraction notice:
Ars Technica does not permit the publication of AI-generated material unless it is clearly labeled and presented for demonstration purposes. That rule is not optional, and it was not followed here....At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident.
