a redditor did some deep diving, and agrees that there doesn't appear to be any evidence that this happened, including the interview the guy allegedly gave BBC which sparked all the "calls": old.reddit.com/r/ukpolitics...

For some reason people lose all critical judgment when interpreting jokes made by infrastructure people at conferences or on a podcast. This just isn't what happened.

Really conflicted by this story because I am very much against disinformation (it's nothing to do with the grave, a guy made a joke about it at a conference) but on the other hand, anything that radicalises people against Harry Potter adults is a good thing.
