we are now inundated with completely unproduced livestream clips ... Most of these clips are being made in the global south, where the small payouts from the platforms are enough to fund a content farm. For instance, the account that famously clipped Clavicular being framemogged by an “ASU frat leader” is called @biggerboy111 and it’s based in Nigeria. Which is why, I assume, that user didn’t know that frats don’t have a “leader” position, it’s called a president, and also didn’t know/care that ... the guy mogging Clavicular in the video, isn’t in a frat at ASU.

The idea for the video came from Sydni Myers, the Senior Social Media Manager at the museum...Sydni caught Alison ["a 77-year-old curator of early European sculpture"], who she knew would be perfect for the role, as she was walking out of an all-staff meeting. Sydni asked if she’d be open to “rizzing up the internet with art history.” She remembers Alison pausing for a second and then saying, “If it helps bring attention to the sculptures, I’m in.”...When I asked Alison if there’s a favorite phrase or term she’s learned from filming, she says, “How can you beat ‘The glow still slaps after 500 years!’”? That’s one of our main messages.”

(A look at the design process) (Of course, In Dec. 2025, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent nixxed some of the quarter designs that were approved by then-Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen during the Biden Administration for focusing “on DEI and Critical Race Theory policies.” )Folks, I regret to inform you: This design was OK'd by the Citizens Coin Advisory Committee in...October 2024. Its design was set in place when Biden was in office. The designer left out the olive branch to symbolize the colonists' not yet achieving peace, but hoping for it. Trump didn't do this.

BBC:
[He] has received letters of thanks from the late Queen and the King and a Pride of Manchester award. He has been a guest on Good Morning Britain, BBC Breakfast, The One Show, Sky News and the Russell Howard Show

[In one example, he] prevented one elderly woman from killing herself, the firm claimed. In fact, she had died years earlier.
He denied some of the BBC's allegations but admitted: "I've made mistakes."
The story of how Facebook became engulfed in Christian content can be told through the rise of one site, catholicfundamentalism.com.
...
According to our data, provided by Newswhip’s real-time Facebook analytics, the vacuum of news content Meta created last year was quickly filled by religious content, or even just content that provoked vaguely religious reactions from users.
...
As for why Catholic Fundamentalism is now Facebook’s top “news” site, it posts the exact kind of content that the platform’s news feed has been tailored to promote: blandly positive, removed from any news or current events, and arriving on a frequent and regular schedule.
One of these manufacturers is a company called Donghua Jinlong, which is headquartered in Hebei province about 200 miles from Beijing. It sells “high quality industrial grade glycine,” a type of nutritional additive that evidently sounds silly and abstract to people who never need to think about how processed food is made. Donghua Jinglong and its glycine have become a relatively big meme on TikTok, Instagram, and X...Donghua Jinlong itself, however, doesn’t seem to have any idea what’s going on. People in the comments keep begging it to make official merch, but the company doesn’t understand why anyone would want a sweatshirt or t-shirt with the name of an industrial manufacturer on it. Shitposters have also started referencing the Donghua Jinlong meme in the comments of videos from other Chinese factories.A company called HengYuan, for example, posted a video of what can only be described as a machine for filling Tide Pods, and one of the top comments is someone asking “Could you pack food grade glycine in this?”
