Our new court is a history lesson of where we've come from and where we are going. It is a reminder that Dallas is home to the #QuinniteNation. @MichaelSorrell@FreeKeyThree
We've been feeding a small family of four crows (mated pair and their two year old kids) for several years. Last week two days in a row they left these gifts, pull tabs threaded onto pine twigs. This isn't only generous, it's creative, it's art. My mind is blown. pic.twitter.com/tT5ORZ3AHL
Today Universal Beijing Resort took a significant step towards a full opening with the first invited, non-Team Member guests visiting the park. Constantly updated collection of photos and videos here: https://t.co/VzPdwBrWqjpic.twitter.com/QUCLG5RyuE
A MAGA-obsessed, AR-15-centric religious sect has bought a sprawling compound in Texas, which it hopes will be a safe haven to "patriots" from what they believe is an imminent "deep state" war. The property was listed at just under $1 million.https://t.co/GIpbbk1VJ8

If Universal Studios still had the attraction where you walk into a barn containing a big animatronic triceratops, and an actor tells you about the triceratops and it moves around minimally while you stand there for ~10 minutes, that would be the best attraction in the park pic.twitter.com/30sSui0VkB

I was talking to my book editor about how I’m having a hard time writing a conclusion, and she told me to start by typing the sentence, “I’m having a hard time writing this because...”
That said, you’ll be pleased to know that, rather than double down on our containment efforts, we’ve decided to dissolve the velociraptor containment task force altogether, and focus instead on how we can get people back into the park as quickly as possible. So rather than concentrating on so-called life-saving measures like “staying in designated safe areas” or “masking your scent,” we’ll be focusing on the details that will get our customers really excited, like a wider selection of fun hats, a pterodactyl-shaped gondola ride to the top of the island, and a brand new Gordon Ramsay designed menu at the Cretaceous Cafe.
In addition to satisfying our customers, the decision to reopen the park is also about allowing the furloughed employees of Jurassic Park to get back to the work they love.
...
And speaking of injuries, I want to take a moment to thank our Jurassic Park EMTs. They’re the real heroes here, am I right? In the process of responding to velociraptor attacks, many of our EMTs get mauled and dismembered by velociraptors themselves. That’s why, as a sign of appreciation, we will be repainting the Jurassic Park ambulance with the words “Hero Mobile” in big bubble letters.
Jurassic Dream allows you to explore the entire Isla Nubar location from the original Jurassic Park movie. It’s set in the year 1996 in an alternate history where the accident in the 1993 movie never happened. This means that as well as all the locations from the movie, there are lots of new locations to discover – such as a water ride, a large Ingen facility and a hotel area with swimming pools and tennis courts.
Aside from the eggs in the hatching area or the stuffed toys in the merch store you won’t see a single dinosaur on Jurassic Dream’s version of the island. All the species specific pens, enclosures and facilities are there but you won’t find any dinos in them. While this may initially seem disappointing, there’s a LOT of other stuff to keep you entertained. It takes well over an hour to fully explore the island and there’s lots of cool stuff to discover along the way – such as guns, fun little notes/easter eggs, the ability to change the weather/time of day and a selection of driveable vehicles (including boats, a helicopter and a functional tank!)
Every time something new comes out of this, it blows my mind a little more. The Atlanta Marriott will have carpet themed desserts for #DragonConpic.twitter.com/M7pdjgme1p
MOVIE NIGHT FAIL: A movie night under the stars took a turn in Denver, Colorado on Saturday. Air mattresses laid out for ticket holders blew away in a strong wind. According to Robb Manes, who shot the video, the blow-up beds were on the loose for about 30 minutes. 😂 pic.twitter.com/MpQKa7yob6
I Have Thoughts about the new Jurassic World ride but I'll probably save them for a video I want to eventually make despite Universal Studios' social media manager going out of his way to explicitly tell me in an email that I wasn't a "high tier Jurassic World fan"
Lando’s a great character to dig into because he’s long on charisma and short on backstory, a perfect combination for a dashing rogue to headline a story-driven RPG.
...
A smug wookiee cat burglar, the rebellious droid L3-37 from 2018’s Solo, a terse, ill-tempered gunman concealing behind a scarred face the secret that he’s a deserter from the one-time Clone Army, and maybe a withered old fortune teller who may or may not be a Sith outcast — it’s not hard to put together a team with plenty of Star Wars lore both fringe and central to dig into.

Even if Fallen Order looks like the most boring possible way to approach the material, the period after Order 66 is ripe for all kinds of violent and exciting storytelling. A first-person action/stealth hybrid with the player in the role of a Force-sensitive assassin tasked with hunting Jedi by the Imperial Inquisition feels much more immediate and visceral, and with creative art direction and more restrained mechanics it could circumvent the over-the-top histrionics and whitebread cast of The Force Unleashed to deal directly with life at the street level. Imagine the Coruscant underworld sequence from the opening of Attack of the Clones, all neon and monolithic art-deco cityscapes, and what it might feel like to navigate that on foot as an agile killer capable of slithering up drain pipes and crawling through vents.
Also:
I have recurring dreams about living inside an alternate version of the story of Jurassic Park where a small clutch of park staff and wealthy investors have managed to survive for weeks in a fancy apartment in the upper levels of the visitors' center.
This time there were all kinds of prehistoric mammals and birds. I was trapped in a Jeep watching them stampede. The underground tank of the mosasaur made another appearance. I was swimming in the water with some kind of bioluminescent hatchling when I felt something move below.
