Middle schooler Robert Arthur has all the typical troubles of a small, shy student at a new school. But even worse, his school is filled with gateways to another dimension filled with Lovecraftian monsters. It's hard enough to navigate middle school. It's practically impossible when any student or teacher could be a Cthulhu in disguise.
The lenticular covers alone makes the Tales From Lovercraft Middle School books worth buying. But the books are really good, too. They're aimed at approximately 4th graders, but I genuinely enjoyed the second book (more than the somewhat similar Percy Jackson books I've been reading to my boys at bedtime), and plan on buying the first and third books next.
