As part of the Bioshock 2 ARG "Something in the Sea," bottles of Arcadia Wine from the Worley Winery were left at various beaches around the world:

Inside, were rolled-up posters featuring imagery familiar to any Bioshock fan:

You can find high-res versions of some of the images above at these links. And bottles are on sale at eBay.
Relatedly, Alexander Shen posted a cartoony Big Sister desktop wallpaper here.

I think it's deplorable that this event turned out to be another way for eBay sellers to make money off of dedicated BioShock Fans. I heard of non-fans gathering up bottles just to sell online. I just wish that there was a way that actual fans could be involved in these viral campaigns without getting ripped-off. I know many fans that would have loved to have a bottle without paying $150+ for it. Stop feeding the Ebay machine!
ReplyDeleteYes, 2K should post the labels/posters online so anyone can print them out.
ReplyDeleteAnybody checked to see if they have hidden messages like the ones in the box set did?
