Taiwan has its first COVID case in a month after a lab worker was bitten by a COVID-19-infected mouse

A mouse bite is at the centre of an investigation into a possible new Covid-19 outbreak in Taiwan, after a worker at a high-security laboratory was confirmed as the island's first local case in more than a month.


Health authorities have identified 94 people who came into contact with the lab worker since she was infected


she resigned from her job earlier this month.

In 2020, Pro Publica detailed several accidents at at a UNC high-security lab, including two mouse bites.
