Notable bit from this @dell.bsky.social story on @wired.com — renaming the 9 bases after Confederate general officers had a projected cost of $39 mil. So if Dpt of War ends up being a full rebrand (with or without congress), we’re talking 9 figures and up: www.wired.com/story/depart...

There’s a huge difference between an era when an editor could make $90k a year for calling the Pussycat Dolls idiots, but it hits different in a world where a 25yo kid has to risk a DDOS attack from a stan army for the promise of $75. pic.twitter.com/wv2YqziV3e

It's certainly possible Bill Belichick is a football genius. But look at his key staff of assistant coaches and, aside from OL & DL, there's basically zero college experience, minimal overall experience & a lot of nepotism. pic.twitter.com/j9FtOSvVVw

@cooperlost Camping in back country of Alaska, I walked down to the beach, sat down to watch the sunset. Looked to my left and this beautiful brown bear and her 3 cubs were walking right up to me. I didn’t want to startle her but I made sure she knew I was there and let her walk right by me. One of the cubs locked in on my shoe as it walked past, clearly wanting to play with it so I pulled my leg back and they carried on their way down the beach. Such an insane encounter. I love these animals. (I have over 10 years of bear guiding experience. All bears can be dangerous, never put yourself in a situation like this unless you’re with a professional bear guide)
