the team was “particularly ashamed of” the 2014 spreadsheet, but that team culture has since shifted and the 2016 spreadsheet does not contain any lewd comments.

"For those who can’t complete the [New York City Marathon] in 6 ¹/₂ hours...there’s the sweep bus"
NYP:
she began panting and feeling overheated — and it showed. The sweep bus creeped up next to her, and the driver opened the door and asked if she needed water.
Initially Edwards refused, but when the same bus caught up with her a mile later in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, she finally caved.

"Many players of Dwarf Fortress have stories of dwarf colonists that have gone mad"
PG:
Some even start murderous rampages, completely emptying out a fortress that took weeks or months to build up. Sometimes, the only solution for dealing with a mad dwarf is to wall them in and hope they don’t find a way out of their cell. There’s even a very popular mod, called Dwarf Therapist that, at least the last time I got deep into the game, was considered an essential add-on.
There have been similar issues reported by the community of players that enjoy RimWorld.
...
What makes the conversation among players so disturbing is that instead of imprisoning a mad, homicidal dwarf, RimWorld’s players are openly discussing executing homosexuals.
"SeaWorld is asking the California Coastal Commission this week for permission to start constructing a stage for its new orca encounter"
SD:
The new scenery will be a pastoral landscape, incorporating a rugged coastal inlet, artificial Douglas fir trees, cliffs, and waterfalls. The set will be framed by a rockwork facade fashioned from fiberglass, with no part of the backdrop higher than 30 feet.
Complementing the scenery will be a large video screen that will feature imagery of killer whales in the wild, along with graphics and other information about the orcas to help educate SeaWorld visitors.
...
That’s a major departure from a $100 million plan, since abandoned, that the Coastal Commission approved last year
...
Plans for the new orca encounter drew several letters of support, including some from its former critics like the Humane Society of the United States and state Assemblyman Richard Bloom, D-Santa Monica
McDonald's "launches $20-million lawsuit after Italian city says no to plans for outlet near famed cathedral"
WSJ:
Eager to lure some of the roughly three million tourists visiting the Duomo each year, McDonald’s was willing to rewrite its own rule book to win over the city.
Wait staff would serve customers at tables, thus eliminating takeaway orders to deflect the city’s fears of hordes of picnicking tourists. The Americans also promised to source 80% of ingredients locally, including 100 tons of Tuscany’s prided Chianina beef for burgers.
But city officials were nonetheless merciless
...
In its complaint in Florence, McDonald’s in turn threatens other suits should other towns pass similar local identity regulations.
