I'm about halfway through the first book--it's great. A series of heists carried out by wackjobs. As
Wikipedia (which lists seven Dortmunder movies) puts it, "Dortmunder is a nonviolent character whose schemes start out to be fairly straightforward but usually turn out to be outlandish and over-the-top."
