("The Snowbirds were thrust into this year's spotlight after the shutdown of the United States government resulted in the suspension of nonessential activities for the country's armed forces. This meant the ever-popular annual appearance of the Blue Angels was cancelled from of a lack of funding, leaving some to wonder who would take the mantel of this year's airshow headliners.")

Chicago priest Fr. Larry Dowling describes procession to ICE facility: “No one had the courage to speak directly to us. No one from Homeland Security could stand in the presence of the Monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ.”
