(Lots more videos at the account showing the steady deterioration of the situation)@brendaa0523_ At 2:30PM yesterday, two hours after the last update, the roof tore off the ballroom where we were sheltering. It was absolutely terrifying but the staff remained calm and guided us to an underground shelter where we remained for the duration of the hurricane A few minutes before the ballroom roof tore off, the worst of the debris hit. It sounded and felt like cars smashing full speed into a building. Once we were underground we stayed there until around 12AM when the building had been declared structurally safe and the staff guided us back to our rooms. The staff ARE THE REASON WE ARE ALIVE. #montegobay #hurricanemelissa ♬ original sound - Brenda A
