"A Sailor is baptized aboard USS George Washington"

WATERS NEAR HAWAII (Aug. 2, 2015) Lt. Cole Yoos, the command religious ministries department divisional officer aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), and Lt. Brian Kirschenbaum, a Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 chaplain, baptize Aviation Structural Mechanic (Safety Equipment) 2nd Class Ryan Norton, from Minto, N.D., in the baptismal pool on the ship's flight deck during a baptism-at-sea. George Washington and its embarked air wing, CVW-5, are en route to conduct a hull-swap with the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) after serving seven years as the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier in Yokosuka, Japan.
