Someone stole $250,000 worth of exotic Kit Kat bars

A story in the NYTimes that's a good match for that Los Angeles restaurant that has been burglarized 10 times in two years.

According to the story, the executive of a freight brokering company agreed to ship two trucks worth of bars from Los Angeles (where they'd arrived from Japan) to a warehouse in New Jersey. He accidentally hired a scammer he found online to transfer the bars, was lucky enough that the scammer abandoned the bars in good shape, and then accidentally hired another scammer to transfer the bars. One truck's worth went missing, and the other is in a warehouse, but supposedly the warehouse owner hasn't been convinced the bars' owner has a legal claim (and is willing to pay the storage fee owed).
