Breaking: the Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a deal to trade WR Marvin Harrison, sources tell me and @RapSheet. The team informed Harrison this morning that he will be inactive for Sunday’s game vs Detroit as details of the trade are finalized. https://t.co/x6n0Hsfzzj

A plausible theory:

One team that has had Marvin Harrison trade talks with Arizona is Houston, sources tell me and @rapsheet. Houston has been, and is thought to be, square in the mix for Harrison. But as one Texans source said about the team’s interest in Harrison, “I can’t confirm or deny at this time.”

Bloomberg: "It’s now more expensive to hire a tanker from the US to China than to launch a rocket into space. That ocean journey runs about $80 million compared with $74 million for a standard commercial launch. The eye-watering prices are the result of a global tanker shortage that's getting worse"

This is one of the most underrated threats in cyber right now and it’s being done all over Europe and the Middle East. This targeting enables lethal follow-on activity and it’s especially alarming as missiles fall and gig economy terrorists are being used so heavily.

In Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East, we are seeing early drone warfare. I would equate this to where Ukraine and Russia were in 2023. The diffusion of drone technology and tactics will increase, particularly whenever the Russo-Ukraine war ends. I doubt that we are prepared.
— Rob Lee (@RALee85) October 10, 2026
One thing that is becoming more common is “PMC” type and drone companies hiring foreigners who did drones in Ukraine for work. The main problem with that, is that anyone can learn to fly a drone in 14-21 days. Give them 6 weeks and they’ll be hitting targets. What they don’t learn in-depth typically is the tactics behind drones (especially for the 6 monthers) or get a good grasp on signals/frequency and all the overly nerdy shit involved in that realm. Not understanding frequencies and drone tactics in general will create a lot of scenarios such as this as outside of the Ukrainian war, front areas are not saturated with signals and hundreds of drones flying around so it’s much more easy to pinpoint launch positions and also signal locations. “One of the sources who works for Congo's government said that Rwandan forces backing the M23 rebels may have surprised them by tracking a drone used for surveillance operations to their location.” https://t.co/KCV1wuf9WX

My personal favorite excuse: GOP Onondaga County Legislator David Knapp “said he was surprised Trump was coming to Syracuse. He said he won’t be able to attend because Friday is the day before the LaFayette Apple Festival and he is busy setting up.” That’s Central New York.

(Expensive unhealthy food that's served slowly)McDonald's stock is down 24% year-to-date. Investors are skeptical of the company's plans, to say the least, and nothing said at Investor Day, or since, has changed their minds. A lot can, and probably will, change between now and the end of the year. But if it holds, it will be the sixth worst year on record at the chain, and the worst since 2002. That was the year the company posted its first-ever quarterly loss, closed hundreds of restaurants and pulled Jim Cantalupo out of retirement. Only five other times has the company's stock fallen more than 24% over the course of a full year. Here are the five worst stock price declines in company history: 1974: 48.46% 2002: 39.25% 1969: 33.91% 1973: 25.25% 1968: 25.22% What happened in 73-74? Oil embargo. In 68-69 there was an apparent fast-food market bubble and it burst and the company faced boycotts and protests. This shows exactly how tough a market this has been for McDonald's. $MCD

Confirmed three more closures of Crumbl locations, which brings my count of shutdowns to at least 60 so far this year. One of those three is in Louisville, and comes along with a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing, which gives us a partial picture of an operator's finances. The operators in this case walked away from a location that was opened in 2024 and had 2.5 years remaining on its lease. According to court documents, it has $352,780 in liabilities compared with just $10,000 in assets, all in the form of signs and cookie-making equipment. There's no other assets listed, including inventory, receivables, deposits, etc. The equipment is the collateral for a $269,109, secured loan with Republic Bank. So the collateral is worth just 3.7 cents for every $1 of secured debt. The operator also said that it lost $17,000 operating the business this year. And it owes $69,000 to the landlord for those 2.5 years remaining on the lease. At one point, this was one of the top 25% of Crumbl locations and the operators were telling @NRNonline that they wanted a third location. You can check out the original NRN article with the operators here: https://t.co/m1hh5gOJsF And here's our look at Crumbl: https://t.co/SMr2nEzL4k

So I spent the past couple of days poring through legal documents to understand the allegations against Jan Risi, the longtime former head of Subway's nonprofit purchasing co-op, the Independent Purchasing Cooperative, or IPC. (I would not recommend this ... if tempted to do the same, just smack yourself in the face and do something else ... my brain still hurts.) But this is a big, big deal, one that may have cost Subway operators millions in unnecessary charges for roughly everything, from deli meats to cleaning products. In short, the alleged scheme used the supply chain to funnel money to Risi, her family, and others. It used kickbacks, common in supply chain contracts, that were routed through brokers and disguised as brokerage fees to hide them from the IPC. And the scheme, allegedly, dates from the moment the group was created. One of the wilder sets of allegations I've seen in a while. More here: https://t.co/71TooyDIBV

FWIWso about the $86m ledger drain. everyone’s screaming “ledger got hacked” again. i spent the evening digging and it’s dumber and scarier than that there’s a shop in malaysia called cryptobilis that sells hardware wallets. ledger has it listed as an official authorized reseller since at least 2022, for malaysia, indonesia and the philippines. legit shop, real devices, years of normal customers this spring the founders sell it. the deal comes with an NDA: they can’t tell anyone about the sale until october 19 by august the company registry shows one owner with 100%. some guy from heilongjiang, china the shop keeps running like nothing happened. the site, the name and the “authorized by ledger” badge all stay up then on oct 8 @MagicalTux posts photos of a ledger he cracked open. hidden under the screen there’s an extra little board with an LTE modem and an eSIM. it just watches the display. you set up your wallet, your 24 words show up, and they get sent out over mobile data. ledger’s genuine check doesn’t catch it because the actual ledger chip is real. his device came from malaysia https://t.co/vRuBM0xIfR that post does 120k views 22 hours later someone sweeps everything. 203 BTC hits two addresses in literally one block. ~$58m USDT moves on tron in the same hour. i added up all the wallets: ~$91m about 7 hours after that ledger says “we’re investigating” and asks cryptobilis to pause sales cryptobilis is still on ledger’s site as an authorized reseller to be fair, nobody has officially tied the new owner to the bugged devices yet, and ledger hasn’t confirmed how it happened. but read it as a business plan: get authorized, sell real stuff for years, quietly sell the company under an NDA, keep the badge, ship devices that phone home, then drain everything the second someone notices and was ledger even told the shop got sold? nobody’s said so “authorized reseller” means ledger trusted whoever ran the shop back in 2022. says nothing about who runs it today bought your hardware wallet anywhere but the manufacturer? open it up today, ledger literally has a guide for that. then move to a fresh seed on a device bought direct wonder who’s going to answer for this: the chinese frontman from heilongjiang, the shop’s previous owners, or ledger itself @Ledger clearly needs to keep a much closer eye on who they call official resellers, and take way more responsibility for who sells their devices and how

I maintain that PlayStation VR2 was the biggest scandal of this generation (from a consumer standpoint of course, not the obvious endless layoffs). £530 for something that effectively became unsupported from day one after the Horizon game came out.

UPDATE: After experiencing the first preseason game, the single game parking was not an option. I still have to walk under the 110 underpass and risk my life to park in an affordable parking lot. 🤣 With regards to the meal accomodations, there is no longer access to the soda machine, chips, popcorn, bottled waters, and soft serve ice cream. #Lakeshow I will continue to provide updates as the season progresses.
