Electric scooter that goes 100+ miles an hour; flying jetbike that goes 124mph

An electric scooter that goes over 100 miles per hour? That’s what UK startup Bo is aiming for with the Turbo, a dual-motor escooter it’s taking to Bonneville Speed Week in hopes of setting a Guinness World Record. It’s a marketing strategy meant to turn heads, and spotlight the company’s real product: the $2,250 Bo M, which launches soon in the US. Built by ex–Formula One engineers, the Bo M is a very sleek scooter whose speed tops out at 22mph. It’s got a weatherproof, unibody aluminum chassis, regenerative braking, and a minimalist design. Surprisingly, though, it doesn’t fold.

The “Honda Koraidon Project” is "the future mobility in the shape of Koraidon, a Legendary Pokémon appearing in the game 'Pokémon Scarlet'"

Honda Koraidon is future mobility created with Honda’s experiences and unique technologies in the shape of Koraidon, a Legendary Pokémon that appears in the game “Pokémon Scarlet,” with the cooperation of The Pokémon Company. Honda has realized an almost life-size reproduction of the shape of Koraidon in both weight and size, down to the finest details.

Honda will use its proprietary self-balancing technology to enable Honda Koraidon to walk on all four legs, and self-stand on two-wheels which is unseen in the game. This balance technology world premiered as Honda Riding Assist at CES 2017, the world’s largest consumer electronics trade show, which was developed by applying the self-balancing technology cultivated in ASIMO humanoid robot research. Honda will apply this technology to realize Koraidon’s “Sprinting Build.”

Propelled by in-wheel electric motors and controlled by dual joysticks, the BLC’s compact footprint and airless tires give it unparalleled maneuverability. It also boasts exceptional outward visibility thanks to its protruding glass canopy and a panoramic, augmented reality dashboard display. Heritage cues include a “TOYOTA” script grille up front, complete with a full array of cameras and lidar/radar sensors, and a split tailgate configuration in back. Salt extraction train crossing a pink lake in Siberia





He writes:

Let me tell you about the most spectacular one called Burlinskoye lake. I really wanted to visit this place for long time but something always stopped me from this - either different other trips or the weather wasn't suitable for it. In order to be able to see that famous pink colour of these lakes for sure, you need to visit them during hot and dry weather in the end of summer. The water in these lakes turns pink due to small crustaceans and microalgae which breed only in very salt water. The concentration of salt in this lake is 200 grams per 1 litre.

Owing to the large salt deposit there has been established a salt extraction. Kitchen salt has been extracted from the lake since 1768 and the nowadays volume of extraction makes up 65000 tons of salt a year. But just take a look at how it is done: they literally scrub the lake bottom and bring the mixture of salt and silt into the train which gets into the water along the railway.
