Good Samus comic

As much as I love buff badass lesbian Samus, I also really love the version of her from that one Super Metroid gag manga where she's this weirdo obsessed with round objects and hiding in small spaces

Honestly I don't think this is especially inconsistent with current portrayals. No matter which way you look at it, there's no way Samus is neurotypical

From the Super Metroid manga:
Round and Round is the first issue and was written by Matsumoto Hidetaka. A common recurring theme in this issue is Samus's obsession with round objects,

That time Nintendo disgustingly broke the Guinness World Record for serving the biggest plate of pasta

There is so much history and every day I learn more of it (from Play, Volume 1, Issue 10, October 2002, p.17)

I don't know if this is lost IGN Media, since the links on their site don't work, but for whatever reason I've saved several short videos of this event on my PC for decades. Thanks for triggering the memory and making me go hunt. If you want more let me know.

The “Honda Koraidon Project” is "the future mobility in the shape of Koraidon, a Legendary Pokémon appearing in the game 'Pokémon Scarlet'"

From the announcement:
Honda Koraidon is future mobility created with Honda’s experiences and unique technologies in the shape of Koraidon, a Legendary Pokémon that appears in the game “Pokémon Scarlet,” with the cooperation of The Pokémon Company. Honda has realized an almost life-size reproduction of the shape of Koraidon in both weight and size, down to the finest details.

Honda will use its proprietary self-balancing technology to enable Honda Koraidon to walk on all four legs, and self-stand on two-wheels which is unseen in the game. This balance technology world premiered as Honda Riding Assist at CES 2017, the world’s largest consumer electronics trade show, which was developed by applying the self-balancing technology cultivated in ASIMO humanoid robot research. Honda will apply this technology to realize Koraidon’s “Sprinting Build.”

<Evolution of Honda Koraidon as a mobility>
-Ability to ride on Sprinting Build, and stand upright using balance control technology*
-’Honda Koraidon’s hands and legs, neck, facial movements will change along with its Sprint speed, expressing dynamism
-Planning to reproduce face, eyes and eyelids movement

99 Tears, the DS game that tells you stories to make you cry

Thinking about 99 Tears, a Nintendo DS 'stress relief' game from 2008 in which you answer a series of questions about yourself and your current mood and it shows you stories it thinks will make you cry.

If I understand it right, the tear sommelier provides you a specialzed lamp and when you're finished with the story you blow it out at the DS's microphone.

The Nintendo Museum features a version of Pilot Wings where the Wii controller is so big it typically requires two people to play

Here's a detailed review of the museum:

The inspiration for Nintendo’s new museum came, at least in part, from an ongoing irritation for Shigeru Miyamoto. At a certain point every year, the Super Mario creator does a presentation for the hundred or so new staff that have joined the company. It’s an attempt to explain the core of what makes Nintendo a creative force.

“I talk for two hours,” Miyamoto said during a roundtable interview ahead of the museum’s opening. “And after 20 years, I don’t want to do it anymore.”

...

Even worse, there’s no mention at all of who made any of these important works. Aside from Miyamoto’s signature at the front door, I didn’t see a single developer named anywhere in the museum.

The museum features various playable games, some with giant controllers, including Pilot Wings, which uses a giant Wii remote. You can see it in action at 13:40:
