@wired An electric scooter that goes over 100 miles per hour? That’s what UK startup Bo is aiming for with the Turbo, a dual-motor escooter it’s taking to Bonneville Speed Week in hopes of setting a Guinness World Record. It’s a marketing strategy meant to turn heads, and spotlight the company’s real product: the $2,250 Bo M, which launches soon in the US. Built by ex–Formula One engineers, the Bo M is a very sleek scooter whose speed tops out at 22mph. It’s got a weatherproof, unibody aluminum chassis, regenerative braking, and a minimalist design. Surprisingly, though, it doesn’t fold.
