Apparent fraud in the trading card industry
Darren Rovell on what seems to be a timeless grift and some speculation as to what's going on:
Backyard Breaks is in the business of opening boxes and packs and selling the rights to particular cards in the pack or the pack itself to customers. The company is among the biggest of the groups who do this, breaking on live platforms and making highlights of their biggest pulls.

Panini gives no odds on receiving any particular card in its boxes and doesn’t even say how many boxes it produces.

"I'm sorry I wished for New Tales From the Borderlands, everyone"
Like these reviewers, I loved the first game.

It doesn't even do the cool music video bits at the start of chapters properly! That's like the best bit of actual Borderlands! How do you mess that up?!
The songs were either too bland, too on the nose, or didn’t sound like real songs at all
