Player on the Paris Saint-Germain women's soccer team arrested for alleged role in assault on teammate

After a team dinner organized by PSG, [the victim] was in a car driven by [the accused] when two masked men are alleged to have appeared around 10:30 p.m., pulled her from the passenger seat and hit her in the legs with an iron bar, the newspaper reported.

[The accused] replaced her injured teammate . . . for a European Champions League game Tuesday

Not necessarily obvious it was about playing time:

[The accused] has started three of PSG's seven league games this season and has come on as a sub in the other four, while [the victim] has started six of the seven league games, with [the accused] starting the other match against Soyaux-Charente on September 12.

They both started together for the game on October 10 versus Guingamp and October 31 for the game against Dijon
