The cane got so tall it grew up into the walker struts.

When the wheels tried to keep rolling through the field, the top was hung up on the energy cane. So the crawlers just knocked themselves over AT-AT style.
The repairs cost $100,000.
Then the cane grew so fast they couldn't cut it in time
