"Minnesota Twins prospect Royce Lewis wears 'humility chains' his mom makes and sells online"

Have you noticed the sparkly necklaces major league players have been wearing?
Shortly after signing as the No. 1 pick in the 2017 draft and receiving a $6.72 million bonus, Lewis researched the necklace Jeter often wore when he played shortstop for the New York Yankees. Lewis wanted to wear something similar.

Lewis learned Jeter’s necklaces were made of black diamonds.

“Those are extremely expensive,” said Cindy Lewis, Royce’s mom. “And so, anyway, we went shopping around, and we found some beads together that he liked. And I said, ‘OK, I can make you a necklace.’ It kind of reminded him to remain humble. Not that he isn’t already. But it’s something he liked.”

Cindy Lewis made a few necklaces for him late last year. When this season began, so did demand for the necklaces.
