Some caves have pearls. They form when water dripping into a cave loses carbon dioxide and precipitates calcite.
A grain of sand, or some other nucleus, is coated with calcite, rotating in the current so it’s coated evenly. layers build up over time 1/ pic.twitter.com/gLmaoDtgfa

From far away the beams appear to be broken and 3D physical. When zoomed (with this impressive shot) we can see it’s simply deception by fantastic panting.
