I don't know if it's an Assassin's Creed style simulation, but there's clearly some reveal coming that critics weren't too impressed with (I'm not spoiling anything, it's clear very early on something's off).* No matter, it's just pleasant watching him star in a Chandler-esque plot in current day Los Angeles.**
*One of the reviews compares the reveal in Sugar to a twist the critic loathed in a Netflix series called "Behind Her Eyes." Hadn't heard of it, and LOL.
**I liked his season of True Detective, too.
