The four-month-long deluge killed around 1,700 people, many of whom drowned during the worst of the floods. In recent weeks, humanitarian officials have warned of a second wave of death as outbreaks of malaria, dengue fever, diarrhea and skin diseases spread among the 33 million people affected by the flooding.
