ILM made quarter-scale models of the car, the airplane and the tunnel itself which ended up being 180 feet long. The camera, the car and the airplane chasing it were pulled along the left side of the set by a cable underneath the floor of the tunnel. pic.twitter.com/t6iyodHd06

Talking about coordination, the chase of Indy riding Hurricane in rambla de Trujillo was complicated to shoot, since the tank barely exceeded 20 km per hour and the horse was twice faster. They had to make the horse had problems to keep distances. Not an easy task. pic.twitter.com/zhkwqXrPW0
